Free walking tour in old Tehran(RESERVATION IS REQUIRED)

Join a free walking tour in old Tehran and be amazed by the enchanted oriental lifestyle. Do not forget your comfortable shoes and a big smile:).

 In this free walking tour, we briefly cover the history of Iran from 3000 BC to the present time. (We promise, it is not boring and takes less than 7 minutes) and introduce the influence of Islam on the Iranian lifestyle. We will explore different elements of an old Islamic-Iranian city structure in one of the old neighborhoods of Tehran. In more detail, we talk about the exclusive Iranian Calendar, National and Religious festivals, and much information about lifestyle. We promise you new insight and information on this tour; you will visit the other sights of other cities in Iran with a new mindset and have a better understanding of an enchanted oriental country.

 Some sightseeing on this tour:

Time: Every day except Fridays at 9:30 am (Please book your morning tour by 23:00, on the previous evening, at the latest)

Duration: about 3 hours

Meeting Point: In front of the Golestan Palace Entrance (Google Map), find your smiling guide with the Persian Walk sign.

**** The tour is tip-based, So you will decide how much the information and stories are worth. If you enjoyed the tour, the suggested amount is around €10 per person (or equal to Rial), although it isn’t rare for tips to go up to €20.

How to reach Golestan Palace:

Take the red line (Line 1) of the Metro and get off at Panzdah Khordad metro station and follow the sign to Golestan Palace; then you reach Panzdahe Khordad Square, turn left to Davar street, and you reach Golestan Palace (280 m and 3 min walking time). Image 1

Take the red line (Line 1) or blue line (Line 2) and get off at Imam Khomeini Metro station, take Bob Homayoon street down, then turn right to Soor-E-Esrafil St. Finally, turn left to Davar Street, and you reach Golestan Palace. (880 m and 11 min walking time). Image 2

Dress code: we will walk through Bazaar and old neighborhoods, which are conservative and traditional. We would like to ask you concerning their lifestyle; women would choose a dress with a knee-height outfit and do not forget your comfortable shoes and a big smile on your face.
